Apple sign-in fails or my invoices are missing

Check your Apple identity, private relay address and sign-in flow before changing local data.

Needs a signed-in account: account sync after Apple sign-in. If you previously used Apple, begin with the same Apple identity. Choosing another method with a different email can open a different workspace even when the addresses both belong to you.

Try this first

  1. Confirm that you are connected to the internet.
  2. Choose Continue with Apple from a fresh BillPad sign-in screen.
  3. Use the Apple identity used for your existing BillPad account.
  4. Keep a local backup before signing into a different account or changing browser storage.

Possible causes

Apple can provide a private relay address when you use Hide My Email. BillPad identifies accounts by the verified email supplied during sign-in. That relay address and your usual inbox address are not automatically the same BillPad identity.

Browser sign-in also relies on a short-lived flow and its browser cookie. An old callback page, missing cookie or rejected provider response can prevent completion. A provider-configuration error needs investigation by BillPad support rather than changes to your invoices.

Fix the problem

  1. Retry Continue with Apple and complete the fresh flow promptly.
  2. After success, open Settings, Your account and note whether the displayed address is the expected identity.
  3. Compare it with the identity on the device that holds your records.
  4. If the identity matches, allow sync to finish and follow the sync troubleshooting guide if changes still do not appear.
  5. If the identities differ, preserve both local workspaces and ask support before attempting to combine them.

Do not replace an Apple relay identity with an email link to your everyday address and expect an automatic account merge. Keep using the original Apple sign-in while investigating. Avoid deleting an account merely because it looks empty; you may be looking at a different identity.

Still stuck

Email [email protected] with the error text and whether you used the iPhone app or a browser. Mention Hide My Email if relevant, but never send credentials or a callback link.
