Import from Invoice2go

Export Invoice2go records and review the supported fields, dates and format limitations.

BillPad's Invoice2go profile is provisional and has not been verified against a real account export. The expected file is an invoice summary; available headings and report options can vary.

How to export from Invoice2go

  1. In Invoice2go, open the report or export for invoices and export as CSV.
  2. Include document number, client, dates, status, subtotal, tax, total and payment or balance fields where offered.
  3. Keep the original export so you can compare several imported invoices against their source records.

Import into BillPad

  1. Make a backup through Settings, Export backup if this workspace already contains records.
  2. Choose Start import under Switch to BillPad and select Invoices.
  3. Select Invoice2go as guidance, then use Choose file.
  4. Inspect Match columns. Required invoice fields are number, date, client and either total or line rate/amount.
  5. Confirm the date order if prompted, compare totals and paid amounts, then approve the reviewed import.

Check the source fields

Expected headings include Document Number, Client Name, Client Email, Date, Due Date, Status, Subtotal, Tax, Total, Paid, Balance Due and Currency. A summary export becomes a summary invoice rather than recreating line detail that the file never contained.

Products and clients are separate import types. For item files, BillPad recognises names or codes, descriptions, rates, units and taxable information. Confirm that the selected file is an invoice export before approving invoice column matches; similar headings can otherwise lead to an incorrect data-type guess.

Good to know

The profile's fallback is DD/MM dates and AUD currency. Ambiguous numeric dates still require your explicit confirmation. Prefer an explicit currency column over relying on that fallback, especially for international work.

CSV and the first XLSX worksheet are supported, within 5 MB and 5,000 rows. Imported invoices do not trigger reminders or late fees. Existing documents count towards the 100-document limit.

If your file does not import, email a redacted example to [email protected], or use the generic CSV option and match the columns manually. Do not send passwords, sign-in links or unnecessary customer information. Keep the original export until you have compared several imported records with the source.
