BillPad

Use BillPad on iPhone and Android

Understand app sign-in, shared invoice controls and native PDF sharing.

The BillPad iPhone and Android apps use the same core invoice editor and calculations as the web app. You can work with documents, clients, saved items, reports and settings using familiar controls. The apps require sign-in; the web app also supports local use without an account.

Start on a phone

  1. Open BillPad and complete sign-in using the available account options.
  2. Check the account email in Settings before relying on synced records.
  3. Open Invoices and select a document, or choose New on the compact toolbar to start one.
  4. Use Edit for fields and Preview for the document on narrow screens.
  5. Review Design if you need to change the template, logo or paper size.

Needs a signed-in account: sync, email sending through BillPad, hosted links and viewed activity, reminders, Stripe payment links and Apple Watch. Those features also need the relevant network connection and service configuration.

Save or share a PDF

Choose Download PDF or Share from a valid invoice. In the native apps, BillPad writes a temporary PDF and opens the system share sheet. Choose a destination available on your device, such as a file location or another installed app.

On Android, the download action also offers Also save this PDF to Documents? after sharing. Accept if you want that additional copy. If native delivery fails, BillPad reports the problem and attempts a browser-download fallback.

Good to know

Device share options depend on installed apps and operating-system behaviour. Opening the share sheet does not prove the file was sent to a client. Check the receiving app, then use Mark sent if you delivered the invoice yourself.

Keep a backup before reinstalling or clearing app data. Those actions can remove local records, including work that has not synced. Signing out also leaves local data behind, so use the privacy guide if your intention is deletion rather than switching accounts. If a control differs on your phone, include the app version when contacting support.
